Equine Assisted Therapy

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is a collaborative therapeutic approach that allows you to learn about yourself and others by participating in activities with the horse that explore feelings, thoughts and behaviors.

EAP and EAL is often utilized to augment conventional forms of therapy. Here at Healing Springs Farm, we employ The OK Corral Treatment Model, a distinctive experiential framework designed to allow clients to discover, learn and grow by engaging the unique intuitive power of horses to help them identify and practice the changes they want to make.

Under this model, a certified Equine Specialist works directly with therapists and their clients at all times to ensure each client receives the therapeutic attention and guidance to explore, process and solve their specific challenges in a safe, supportive environment. Built on the premise that it is the client who can best determine the life changes they need to make in order to improve their lives, the job of the treatment team is to put the OK Corral Model to work to meet each client’s goal(s).
